Growth stages You can click and drag the nodes on this graph to alter the growth profile for this forecast. By aligning the growth stages in this model with what is actually occurring in the field you will allow the model to make better predictions about water use and irrigation requirements.

Hold the Ctrl Key down while dragging a point to auto adjust all earlier growth stages.
Hold the Alt Key down while dragging a point to auto adjust all later growth stages.
Hold the Ctrl Key and the Alt Key down while dragging a point to auto adjust all growth stages.

X Axis: Proportion of full maturity Accumulated GDD Date Days After Planting
Water use rates Crops use different amounts of water at different stages in their development. These feed into predictions about how much irrigation is required and when. You can click and drag the nodes on the graph to more closely match the water use you are observing in the field.
X Axis: Proportion of full maturity Accumulated GDD Date Days After Planting
Root development Rooting depth directly affects the amount of water a crop can draw on and how often irrigations must occur. Root development patterns are site-specific. You can alter the growth profile by clicking and dragging points to achieve a better reflection of your actual field conditions. You can also change the maximum rooting depth parameter and the available water capacity parameter.

Confirm rain gauge reading

  • If your rain gauge is sited under an irrigation system readings may indicate irrigation rather than rainfall.
  • Here you can assign a reading correctly.
  • If you believe that the measurement is incorrect you will be able to change the value in the next step. Alternatively you may choose to disregard this measurement completely.
